Choral singing is such a great way to enjoy some wonderful music, assist in good health, and meet up in a regular social group.
We are an established and friendly choir, with around 60 active members at present. We are a non-auditioned choir with a range of musical abilities, but we also aim to present music to a professional standard - we would be delighted to welcome you to come and sing with us!

REHEARSALS
We rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, at the Billingshurst Community Centre. There is a short break for refreshments, and once a month for a fundraising stall.
The best way to find out about BCS is to come and join us for a couple of rehearsals. You will be made very welcome, and this will enable you to meet some of our singers and experience at first hand the joys of singing in a choir.
MEMBERSHIP
If you decide you would like to join as a member, and we hope you do, you will have a short voice test. This is a short and easy process, and intended only to help you and the musical director agree in which voice part you would be best suited to sing.
The current cost of annual membership is £170.
For each concert, you can either hire copies of the necessary scores for a small fee, or buy your own copy - usually we arrange to buy copies in bulk at a slight discount, for those who want to do so.
Concert dress for our main concerts is black shirts and trousers for the men and long black tops and skirts for the ladies, but for some concerts we have much less formal outfits.
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
As well as singing, we enjoy a range of social activities - occasional tours to sing further afield, as well as quiz nights and race nights. We also have a regular walking group with both two legged and four legged members.
SUPPORT US
As well as singing members, we are fortunate to have a loyal group of Patrons who support the activities of the choir. For a regular payment each year (which greatly helps our annual budget planning) patrons receive a ticket to each of our main concerts, and regular communications about our activities.
