Sing with us!
New members are always very welcome! If you would like to consider joining as a member, come along to any rehearsal to sing or listen, and to meet us. If you do decide to join, you will have a very short (and easy) voice test with our Musical Director to agree on the most suitable voice section to join.
After the long enforced gap during the pandemic of 2020, we still aim to resume rehearsals, but only once safe conditions for all participants can be ensured. More details will be published soon.
Singing in a choir is good for you! Why? Our members will tell you it’s a joy and a buzz working together as a team to learn wonderful music and deliver an enjoyable experience for ourselves and our much-valued audiences. Quite simply, singing makes you feel good in mind and body.
And as well as singing locally we also travel further afield on tour – for more details see here.
And as a break from singing, we have a walking group who meet regularly for fresh air, exercise and friendship – members, partners and friends (both two legged and four legged) southafrica-ed.com. You will be very welcome to join any of the walks – see the Walking group page.

We look forward to meeting you soon!
As well as singing members, we are fortunate to have a loyal group of Patrons who support the activities of the choir. For a regular payment each year (which greatly helps our annual budget planning) patrons receive a ticket to each of our main concerts, and regular communications about our activities. If you are able to consider supporting BCS in this way, please make contact through the Contact Us page.
Amazon Smile – BCS is now registered as a charity on Amazon Smile! Please support BCS by making your purchases on Amazon through Amazon Smile – it’s very easy, and Amazon pay a small proportion of your purchase price to BCS! Pleas see here for details – BCS on Amazon Smile
